Common Buzzard - Avian Bird Flu (1 Viewer)

PYRTLE

Old Berkshire Boy
United Kingdom
A friend of mine came across a static Buzzard in an open field near Dereham, Norfolk. It remained stationary so they caught it and rang the RSPCA who duly arrived and took the bird away, the officer saying he would keep them informed of its progress. That evening they received a call to say the bird had been examined by a vet and found to be suffering from avian flu hence it was euthanised.

Hopefully this won't be a widespread issue? I remember in the main wave a couple of years back some eagles were affected. Sad for this individual.
