CANON 7D Shutter Count? (2 Viewers)

I have spent a long time trying to find out how to check the Shutter Count on my Canon 7D from a Macbook Pro Laptop and Firefox or Safari. It seems from all the forums I have searched, that this is not possible? So I am asking all BF users of this camera on here for help please?

Penny, it really needs to go to a Canon authorised repairer to find out that info

There is a piece of software called EOSCount that apparently works for the 7D (not used it myself).You have to use IE as your browser and I believe there is a small charge. See THIS thread for more details. I would not bother installing it myself so it is up to you if you decide to install.
EDIT: this does not work on a Mac

I have used EOScount and it worked with my 7D

Used to be free, but as mentioned above I believe you now have to pay
