Canon 500 f4 lens foot M3 screws (1 Viewer)

Flawed but improving!
England
On close examination of my second hand Canon 500 f4 lens foot, I have found tat it only has three of the four M3 scres fitted. No immediate problem, but I do like thinks to be right :egghead:

The screws are M3 screws - 15mm long, 3mm thread diameter bolts with a hexagon (Allan Key) drive in the 5.5mm round head.

No luck with Canon's approved parst supplier (again), no immediate luck on eBay or internet, Forum Search won't allow 3mm or M3 and so i was wondering if anyone knew where I might get a spare from?

Michael.

...

I've enclosed my lens in 4mm thick neoprene (Wildlife Watching Supplies) and was surprised that I had to undo these 4 screws (to release the foot) when fitting one of the sleeves, so I'm pleased to find what they are and a supplier. Just hope that on re-assembly, I tightened the screws sufficiently!

Once Rob put me onto a supplier and so the right key words, I went on eBay and quickly found several suppliers as I knew that I needed M3*12 socket headed screws. I found this ebay item http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110654870675&ssPageName=ADME:L:OU:GB:1123 which seem to be direct replacements. The eBayer DSJ Hardware gives all the dimensions for the screws he sells as opposed to some sites that just say M3*12. And for £2 for 10 post free......

UPDATE: Now recived. Identical to originals. I have some spares if anyone needs a couple. Thanks for the assistance - especially to Rob who started the ball rolling.

Michael.
