Can it be a roadrunner? Dallas area (Grapevine) (1 Viewer)

Hello Everyone,

I saw this bird on 17th October in Grapevine, Texas, early in the morning near the lake. The plumage, shape of the head and long tail seem to match that of a roadrunner as I can see in pictures found on the internet and in my books. I have never seen one in flesh, so no experience here. What is strange is that it sits on a tree. Although I saw pictures of roadrunners sitting on trees I understand ground is more likely place to see this bird.

Can you help me solve this puzzle? Is it roadrunner or maybe something else?
