The first edition of the British Journal only had a few articles/papers such as this below. During the two world wars. The British Birds Journal didn’t appear every month. But at least in some of the months during the world wars the British Birds Journal still appeared every year in some months but with less articles/papers. Finally this was published in the February 1941 edition of the British Birds Journal. The British Birds Journal always managed to publish in some of the month# during every year of the two world wars such as this article/paper. The index of the Heron population 1940.
