Breeding American Kestrel Nest Box Cam in Idaho (1 Viewer)

I installed this kestrel nest box in 2023. It's on the hillside in front of my house in Boise, Idaho. We had a pair move in, to my utter amazement, in 2023 and raise four fledgings. Out of laziness I failed to maintain the pest-gaurd in 2024. Some squirrels moved in and we missed the nest selection time frame. In the summer of 2025 I built a new box with an IP cam looking straight down. We had a pair move in, or start scouting in Dec. 24. They just started laying eggs on March 20. There are now three eggs.

I also built an entrance counter and activity-by-hour graph. If you are interested in viewing these these drop me a note. If you are interested in the Python app I wrote and Raspberry Py hardware setup for live streaming on youtube, drop me a note.

And there's a live Lammergeier/Bearded Vulture nest cam from the Drakensberg Mts in S Africa too - only live in daylight there and the birds are infrequent visitors as yet, but worth keeping an eye on:
