You will do well to get that past the BOU Chris...especially with it's supporting cast of friends...:-O

Oh don't worry I have no intention of trying, I think it's from a party over the Cheshire border, but at least we have an idea were they came from, can't say the same about our Marbled Duck, that one bugs me a little bit more as to it origins, since it's brief appearence at Belvide it's gone of the radar, Nick's even deserted Westport for a week to go hunting for it in sunnier climes;)

Not much at Westport this morning, a juvenile Black-headed Gull with a white ring, I managed to get the ring number and will send it off, 50x Tufted Duck, 16x Great Crested Grebe included 6 young, Common Sandpiper, Pochard and a Teal was the first since early May.

Cracking shots there Neil

Been busy in the garden the last few weeks so I've not been up to much birdind wise. The people in the house at he back of me have let their garden go for some time now and it has mature trees creating a canopy over the back of my garden and where I put my feeders. They don't block any light for me so i'm happy for them to keep it that way.
It's helping to attact more birds than ever. With the plants I've grown over the last few years it's helped to attract so far this year... Redwing, Sisken, Blackcap, Chaffinch, Bullfinch, Greenfinch, Goldfinch etc...nothing amazing I know but when you consider our house is on an estate it's fairly difficult to get anything other than Sparrows!
