bird song, Augusta (1 Viewer)

been watching the golf masters on the telly, they've just shown a nice bit of footage of an Eastern Bluebird, I keep hearing a bird singing that sounds a bit like the spinning coin song of a Wood Warbler (Phylloscopus sibilatrix), anyone else watching who knows what it is?

I almost started a thread on this.

The birds I heard on the US broadcast were N. cardinal, blue jay, carolina wren, tufted titmouse, and eastern bluebird. I doubt they were actually there since I've been lead to believe that US golf broadcasts dub in the bird song.

If you attach a clip of the wood warbler song, I can tell you what US bird sounds like it.

CBS and the PGA had to come clean a few years ago about adding bird calls when a birder picked up an out of range bird call on a telecast. IIRC, it was a Canyon or Cactus Wren on the east coast.

I tuned in for about 10 minutes this past Sunday and noticed a loud Carolina Wren and Northern Cardinal. You could see people talking in the gallery but you couldn't hear voices. Apparently the birds must like to perch and sing on the ambient mics.
