My Leica binoculars need repairing can anyone recommend anyone in The Cambridgeshire area, based near Cambridge so possibly Suffolk / Norfolk, North Herts, North Essex etc. would be doable.

Thanks

Mark

I'd contact Leica in Mayfair first.

Otherwise independent repairers that get mentioned here are OptRep in Selsey, Glasgow Binocular Repairs and action Optics in Southampton. I've not used any of them so can't comment.

Hopefully other Leica owners can help. Good luck,

David

Some modern binoculars have to go to the makers.
It may be that independent repairers don't have spares.
One has to state the model and ask the repairer.

Hi Mark, I second what David said. I don't know any repair outfit in your area, I think you will need to send them away, If they are fairly new, as David said, best go to Leica, if they are older, say early trinovids, then I can say the one optical repair place in the UK that I have never heard anyone say anything negative about is Glasgow Binocular repairs, they have very good reports from people I know that have used them.

I would definitely return them to Leica.

For reference, Zeiss have their HQ on Coldhams Lane in Cambridge. I recently took my 7x42 FLs in there and got the prism replaced within a couple of hours, free of charge (on a par of binoculars I bought second hand!).
