Best place to see Tigers in India? (1 Viewer)

Hi, I wanted to thank everyone here for all the great info on where to see tigers in India. I ended up choosing Ranthambore and while it was beginning to look grim after blanking on 5 safaris, number 6, my last chance was a success. My Guide was Ghani Singh. He heard the tiger roar from nearly 3 km away, so we headed to the spot he thought the tiger would be and he was spot on. This was the territory of Ranthambore's famous tigress Noor. We spent the entire morning observing her while she continued calling. Part way through our time with her a male named Jai appeared further away from us and played down in the forest.. What an incredible privilege of a lifetime. As for birding, Ghani really and truly knows his stuff and is very skilled at getting one on the birds very quickly. I would highly recommend him. We did the golden triangle in 2018 and went to Ranthambore. We had four visits and saw tigers well on three out of the four. On the fourth we only saw a back. We also saw sun bear on two of the visits and a sun badger. Birds were ok too. Having been on an African safari several times where there are so many targets, we found the guides were really only interested in the tigers, so we needed to be quite firm about wanting to see other things.
