Best bird feeding station? Please post your setup! (2 Viewers)

Hello all,

I am looking to start my own feeding station in my backyard. I am going to keep it simple...perhaps one pole with a few feeders mounted on it. But I do not even know where to begin!

I have looked at Wild Birds Unlimited (WBU) feeders and poles. They seem to be top-notch albeit a bit expensive. I can get past the price, however, if they are made to last. I'd rather not have to buy new feeders every couple years! There EcoTough series of feeders have definitely caught my eye.

But I wanted to first ask all of you how you mount your feeders, and what pole system you use. Perhaps there's some great poles out there that I am not even aware of. I'm not too worried about squirrels (I feel confident a baffle will work) but it is the pesky neighborhood deer that I'm most worried about.

Anyhow, I'll step aside and let you guys chime in. Photos are always welcome, as well!

P.S. I hope this is not against rules, but if there are any forums dedicated to the subject of bird feeding, I'd like to know, too. I really want to get started, but would hate to buy something and later regret not choosing something else!

Well, from someone who has a yard species count of 116, I can offer my setup. I've got 9 feeders and 4 suet feeders all spaced apart and under trees so that should a Bird of Prey arrive, they have places to scoot to and hide. Do I go through a lot of seed and suet? Yes I do but the joy it brings me is all worth it to me ;)

Most of my feeders are suspended in a very large tree in the front garden. I have four feeders I use for different seeds, two fat ball feeders, one peanut feeder and one feeder dedicated to niger seed. In the back garden I have a pole mounted feeder with two seed feeders and a nut feeder suspended. The pole is set amongst a shrubbery and there are trees near by.
