Backyard birds in Corpus Christi TX (1 Viewer)

I'm considering a move to Corpus Christi soon. What types of birds frequent backyard bird feeders? I'll do birding trips along the coast etc, but realistically I'll be home most of the time. Thanks, Larry

Liz and I haven't been to Corpus Christi in 5 years but our first stop was at Hazel Bazemore Park where we saw many new birds at their feeders. My notes show N. Cardinal, Inca Dove, Long-billed Thrasher, Chipping Sparrow, Green Jay, Brown-headed Cowbird, Lincoln's Sparrow, Great Kiskadee, and Golden-fronted Woodpecker. We're going to be passing through, (staying one night), in December on our way to the LRGV. Our stop at Hazel Bazemore coincided with the hawk watch there. We were fortunate to see a group of 590 Broad-winged Hawks and 235 White Pelicans.

I kind of remember reading that Corpus Christi has a really good migration coming right through town, with good areas for shorebirds and other water-related birds in addition to smaller ones. CC has won the competition of most birds seen within one town in 24 hours recently?
