I heard this was a good spot for Wood Warblers, Redstarts, Pied Flycatchers..could any body kindly tell me the best areas please...pm me if necessary!

Any good spots for Whinchats, Tree Pipits or Cuckoo around the Bolton Abbey or even around Malham Cove?

For the wobblers, starts and flys you need to be on the east side of the river between Cavendish Pavilion and Barden Bridge. The woods above the Strid should give you the flys and starts, the wobbler close by the stone hut.
We have had whinchat and cuckoo on Barden Moor last year but failed this year as the weather when we were there turned decidedly nasty. The turn off to Embsay just by Barden Tower has a small layby on the left, park here and go through the gate on the other side of the road and follow the road across the moor. We had the chat by the wall/structure away to the right about 300 yards up the road. Cuckoo were evident in the plantation by voice, we didn't see them though.

If you are up for a longish walk then park by the roadside at Barden Bridge (not in the field) and take a counter-clockwise route to Cavendish Pavilion. A shorter option, if you are feeling flush, is to park at the Pavilion, cross the Wooden Bridge and head upstream to the Stone Hut. When we visited in early May the lateness of the season was still evident. Wood Wobblers hadn't arrived but I hear from a friend that there are now at least of couple of singers downstream of the Stone Hut

The parking place that Keith refers to is here and the stone structure is marked 'Aqueduct' in the upper left. I've not ventured further but I would suggest that you would have to be higher up for Goldies.

I saw two male and a female whinchat on the walk up to Simon's Seat from the Valley of Desolation. They were situated close to a seating area that resembles a stone table surrounded by a low circular wall alonside the footpath. Only heard a single cuckoo and now there are plenty of leaves in the trees wood warblers may be a litle harder to see, however the last two sightings I had that wasn't an issue.

Thanks all for your help just a quick note to tell you I got the Redstarts, Pied Flycatchers, Spotted Flycatchers, a Cuckoo, a Wood Warbler, a Merlin, plenty of Grouse with chicks and a Saker Falcon. Sadly no Whinchat, Ring Ouzels and Tree Pipit.

By the way just in case any one has lost a Saker with jesses there was one around Little Simons Seat. I could not see any one flying one so I presume it is an escapee.
