I'm afraid I can't see that at all in this bird - face-pattern, wing-bars, underpart colour.I'll start the guessing with female American Redstart
Where and when in Wyoming? My instinct is Nashville.
Sorry I don't see yellow warbler here. For me jizz and colours wrong. This looks like a pretty obvious Yellow Warbler to me. Small but visible eye-ring, dull yellowish throughout, with yellow wing bars.
suggest a female/young male Magnolia Warbler
Undertail-coverts here are yellow; white in magnolia warbler. So... apparently not magnolia warbler.does seem to have all the features of a female magnolia
These have very weak greater-covert wing-bar, unilke the OP's bird.
Despite my previous first thought, I agree with Butty that Yellow Warbler is right. The difference in the undertail coverts is a helpful point which seems to hold true in nearly all ages and plumages of the two species.Undertail-coverts here are yellow; white in magnolia warbler. I (carefully and deliberately) did not say this!I agree with Butty that Yellow Warbler is right.
Actually all, as far as I'm aware. The difference in the undertail coverts is a helpful point which seems to hold true in nearly all ages and plumages of the two species.
