I have hummed that Queen song many a time after seeing peregrines and hobbies do something amazing. A kind of magic indeed.

I was going for the Merlin the Magician angle, but I've had plenty of magical encounters with a variety of falcon species too, including a Red Footed Falcon hovering about 6ft above our heads, trying to see past us in case there was something edible on the ground between us.
