It is my first visit to this wetlands. Saw quite a number of waterbirds, migratory birds as well as some other species too. It is a great birding location not to be miss if you happens to be in Miri, Sarawak, Malaysian Borneo.

A vanishing one though with depleting water levels. An old photo with painted storks, eurasian spoonbills, a grey heron, black-winged stilts & a red-rumped swallow streaking across. And some more wardes, ducks etc., not in pic, making the lake lively with avian activity. Very hard to come by...
On my way home from Loch of the Lowes I often take a back road, stopping to overlook a field that now seems to have a permanent pool in it.
Over the years it has attracted a number of species and that day there were Canada Geese, Oystercatchers, Mallard and Lapwing.
