I finally got out in the sun for an hour yesterday, only went for a short walk on the beach amongst the fishing boats. Several Gulls, a few Jackdaws, and 31 Turnstones, so I had a session with the Turnies. Im still not back to normal, dont know if I ever will...
I don't know how many people are like me and hadn't noticed that the upload limits for the Gallery have been changed. The maximum file size is now 325kb and the maximum image size is 1024 pixels wide x 900 pixels high (whichever comes first). I always was a bit slow on the uptake! The problem...
A Turnstone on the quay heading at Gorleston. There were only two of these present but there were five Sanderlings on the beach nearby. It's unusual to have Sanderlings outnumbering the Turnstones here. Ron
Got two buses to the park yesterday, just setting me rig up and it started to drizzle, but decided to stay and hope it cleared up. It stopped raining, but remained overcast for the whole two hours I was there, before tipping down and I got well soaked. Not many birds about, haven't even bothered...
Still couldn't work out who would throw peanuts out for snow buntings and turnstones, yes I know officially turnstones eat anything but they can mess up the images
