.... a snowball fight!
Well at least that was my first thought when I saw this one pop up on my screen!!
That early December day when we had all the snow.
TTTW
It's not often I get a picture of this lot together, just a shame the Dunnock wasn't around at that time.
I was lucky though, the very next image the Robin had gone LOL... timing is everything, isn't it.
I think, unfortunately, that Chaffie, has a growth on the foot - not sure if it's cleared...

I saw a Collared Dove sitting on the neighbour's aerial, and because I don't get them here very often thought I get snapping.
He was only there for 2 images and for the second one a House Sparrow flew past.
How lucky was that!!
I hardly ever see Collared Doves here, they just seem to pop in occasionally - unfortunately I couldn't get a picture of the two of them together.
This picture was chosen, as I think he showed well against the brickwork.

I think that was about the first day we'd had any sun since before Christmas and the birds decided to show off a bit.
Trouble was, my shots were a bit rushed as I tried to make the most of it LOL.
TTTW
I don't see these in the garden very often - it was over a year since the previous sighting.
Unfortunately the light wasn't that great, but I wanted the record.
TTTW
We do have sun sometimes up here you know!
The wee birds have been very absent but have started to come back again into the garden, but not really at the window feeders yet.
.... and no.... I didn't compete in the '48 Olympics.... how very dare you:eek!:
... or Where's the grub mum - nuts are too big for me you know?
I'll try and get back to see your lovely pictures later... struggling to keep my eyes open after being out in the cold wind today. Hopefully I've come back with some nice pics though.
TTTW
Another wee bird that's returned from his holidays recently.
A bit dark for this shot, as he was underneath the hedge, but I don't seem to get many pictures of these guys for some reason.
TTTW
.... lived happily ever after.
The end.
Thanks so much for your lovely and amusing comments for this little tale.
Thank you all too, who've sent such lovely messages. I've just been to the doc who has put me on a new pill regime for the sciatica but it'll likely be a few days, at least...
OK I've been told it's possibly a female, so I've had to reverse roles for my tale;) Let's hope we don't get confused:-O
She jumped up to the top of the roof turned her head and saw another sitting at the gable end.
Sorry folks, I've had some laptop problems so was off for a bit yesterday...
A quick visit just now, as I've workmen in for most of the day (means no heating is on brrrr).
This was taken a week ago when we had snow, and it's trying to snow again today.
I'll try and catch up with all you good folks later on.
TTTW
A bit of fun!
Initially there were three in view but the bottom one went. As I took this shot the top one dropped down and to my surprise I've got him fairly sharp LOL.
Hope you like.

I think I mentioned the other day that the Waxwings had returned to town... well they were a bit closer this time - in the neighbour's tree; about 10 of them.
Such a shame the light is so bad just now and picture quality is so poor. But at least they're a bit closer.
Actually, I could kick...
Doesn't he have the most adorable face... I really thought this guy was cute.
Oh but it tried hard to snow yesterday... for about 5 minutes! But I think we were very lucky, as it did snow quite heavily not far away I hear.
TTTW
Giving you a rest from my oh so lovely snowy pictures to bring you this one hot off the press LOL.
Saw a lump up in the tree and thought to meself... grabbed the camera and rattled off a couple of pics and was over the moon when I could confirm it was a Bullfinch - first sighting of one here...
For weeks and weeks and weeks I've been trying to get a picture of the Robin.
He was so flighty all I got was a blur or empty space. Even when he came to the window feeder he was in and out like greased lightning!
Sometimes I could see him in the beech hedge, but couldn't find him in the view...
... or "Geeet orf"!
A bit of Saturday fun really, not the greatest of pictures, though at least the House Sparrow is clear... ummm.... ish!
The birds seem to love the new suet nibbles, though catching them feeding is proving extremely difficult.
Not got the Robin yet, Starling isn't...
I didn't see it, but heard a 'whooosh' and everything flew up into the bushes, so I presume we had a rare visit from a Sparrowhawk (one hit my window a few years ago, the only one I've seen here).
I found this little lady sitting deep into the leaves and was surprised to actually get a picture...
While window-watching the other day (well searching for waxwings of course) I saw a Collared Dove sitting on top of a nearby tree - I don't see these very often round the houses, though one woke me up at 3am once!
I took one picture, then in the next the House Sparrow was there and I rather...
My sister has some lovely visitors to her garden and amongst them about 4 Dunnocks. They feed on her patio so come pretty close, but generally I was having to take the pictures through the double glazing.
Thanks for joining in the fun on yesterday's picture, I'm still deciding on the winner, as...
