    Actually a pair of these were giving a Raptor that was in the tree some grief. The Raptor just ignored them both.

    After landing close to the Galahs and Crows the Cockatoo continued to screech and bite off small twigs , throwing them down to the ground to demonstrate it's annoyance.

    This Cockatoo explored a hollow in the Scribbly Gum branch as a potential nesting sight and came out looking very pleased with itself

    This curious (and grubby) visitor popped in the other day with a few mates - 10 Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, a King Parrot, and an Eastern Rosella took shelter on my balcony from the drizzle. This one should have been staying out for a shower!

    I regularly used to see various parrots land in this thorny bush to chew the fresh green shoots. I just stood and waited for this Aussie Larriking, the cockatoo, to land for me.

    I just had to show one of these cockatoos, they are such great looking and noisy bird. They just seem to fill the bush with thier presence.

    Almost forgot to share these guys....Pete called to say we had some visitors just outside the kitchen window.....they usually fly off at the drop of a hat but these two seemed more interested in the seeds that I put out for the small birds and stayed till I got a few good images....hope you like!

    We met Julie- a Korean girl after we found her purse, containing passport, cash, ....... on a train. Because of her missing passport and ticket she missed her flight. She then had extra days in Melbourne so I offered to show her the parrots and lyrebirds in the Dandenongs. Took this shot along...
