    I followed a female in flight yesterday into a secluded copse on Hampstead Heath and was rewarded by finding the bird with its mate. I had already observed her with prey and watched her consume most of it.

    I watched this sparrowhawk deal effectively with aggressive crows on Hampstead Heath yesterday and managed to capture her in a tree announcing that this was her territory.

    I heard a knocking one morning and was amazed to see this (juvenile?) sparrowhawk at my window. I am not too sure who is the most surprised! We also get pheasants, crows, blue, great and coal tits knocking... probably for the grubs around the edges?
