    After several years of listening to soras giggling. Our local park trimmed back an area of marsh grass making the bird more visable.

    I was trying to get some ducks when I noticed a few of these guys running around. They are quite nervous and this was the best shot I could get. I believe they are Soras.

    This Sora was swimming very slowly away from me towards some cover in an other area of the pond. It is quite rare to observe them swimming.

    At this particular spot, there is a boardwalk and the normally shy birds didn't seem to mind the people. We got close looks of soras and least bitterns (will post those later), pie billed grebes and moorhens.

    This is a bird that I don't see very often and did not have any good pics of. The sun was very harsh, but he actually stayed out in the open long enough to get several pics.
