    White-crowned Sparrow

Some of these showed up today along with other species of sparrows. This wild White-crowned Sparrow was a little apprehensive of me giving it attention but I got off a few shots.
  13. Rough-legged Hawk

    Rough-legged Hawk

This appears to be a young Rough-legged. They are a large hawk who happens to like the cold climate here in Central Oregon. This one was hunting a pasture down the road in our rural community. This and the Ferguson Hawk are (I am told), very closely related and both get confused.
  14. Yellow Headed Black Bird

    Yellow Headed Black Bird

This is a male Yellow Headed Black Bird. They can be found in the pacific northwest Oregon. They migrate south after nesting.
