  1. Hermit Thrush. A last look?

    Hermit Thrush. A last look?

Took this on the 24th. Since then, have seen no sign of these birds. Had 4 of them suddenly show up here and stay a couple weeks, I could see them in various parts of my yard almost constantly. Suddenly now though, no sign of them. They must have finally decided to wing their way south.

I have at least two of these hermies that are enjoying the berries.
  3. LIFER - HERMIT THRUSH

    LIFER - HERMIT THRUSH

Stepped out on my back deck this morning to find this guy sitting in a nearby tree. Had no idea what it was. Managed to get this one shot of it. On looking it up it seems to be the quite common Hermit Thrush. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Common maybe, but I have never seen or photographed...

Was so happy to see it yesterday as he missed me last winter or I missed him.

Several new migrants have arrived here besides this thrush. Sure is a fun time of the year. I hope everyone back east is safe from the floods.

This guy took over my yard for a couple of weeks. Every time I went out to take photos, there he was watching me.

    My curious Hermie

I actually have two of them now. The only way I could tell was that the streaking was much bolder on the other one.

I thought this little one had left the area but it came up to the branches tied to our second floor railing.
