    Glittering-bellied, female,2

Not so exuberant as the male, but for me she has a beaty of it's own, with greens and blues here and there.

I don't know why, but she allowed me to approach to a distance of no more than 7 feet..

    Glittering-bellied Emerald

Maybe the cloudy day combined with the flash and the ISO 160 made the hummingbird shine like this!
  4. Standing hummingbird

    Standing hummingbird

This hummingbird was quietly resting on a branch, and let me approach without perceiving my presence. Despite of being a common hummer, it is one of my favorites.
  5. Between flights

    Between flights

This male is resting a little, before it goes to suck the shrimp plants. It has a beautiful red bill, and in the chest there are blue and green feathers.
  6. In action

    In action

This hummingbird, along with its female, loves this shrimp plant; they stayed there all afternoon!
  7. Glittering-bellied Emerald

    Glittering-bellied Emerald

Male on the left; female on the right which differs from the male in having a white streak behind the eye, whitish throat and breast, pale grey tips to the tail and a longer area of black on the bill.
