    Spring is back in Franche comt, and Garganey is much commoner here than back in Britain. These two were part of a group of four males on the Sablire de Pagney. Again, watercolour with cheap white paint.

    Quite a distant shot taken from the hide, but very pleased to have seen this slendid drake

    This drake Garganey was one of four(2 pairs) at Vane farm Loch Leven this spring. The bird came amazingly close to the "Flood" hide on a number of occasions-but only in the early mornings. Occasionally it was too close for my 500mm lens!
