    If this looks familiar, I already posted a shot of it with the wings flat. It will be the last shot of this individual I'll post :) I don't know if the bright colour makes this species more obvious to Peregrines, but their loud calls do announce their presence. The falcon does take these birds...

    We had breakfast at Maidenwell, but this was no run-of-the-mill stop. The window tables overlooked a large dray, which the owners put bird feed onto. First up was a new Lifer in a female Red-winged Parrot.
