    Common Kingfisher

A break in the clouds late in the afternoon allowed for some great lighting on this Kingfisher!

  10. Common Kingfisher

    Common Kingfisher

Still trying to get a photo of a kingfisher in flight, but this is my closest so far!

  20. Ring Necked Parakeet

    Ring Necked Parakeet

I never knew there were so many shades of green in the wing!
  21. Little Owl

    Little Owl

My first sighting of this beautiful little owl in the wild! (And my first good looks at an owl in the wild!) I had been trying to see it for over a year now, as it is always in the same couple of trees, but yesterday was my first time seeing it!
  22. Bittern

    Bittern

    Sneaking back in the reeds
  23. Bohemian Waxwing

    Bohemian Waxwing

After dipping these a few times this year I finally managed to catch up with them! This one is my favourite shot - the vignette is mainly because I took it between some railings - but made it bit more obvious with post-processing!
  24. Little Egret

    Little Egret

This shows how much post-processing helps a photo - the entire forewing was completely over-exposed, but you would never be able to tell that now!
  25. Kingfisher

    Kingfisher

Sat nicely on an open and natural perch for me!
