    What got me close to this female was the fact that I happened to close to her nest, which I never saw, but she was relentless.

    It was very difficult to capture this guy as he was hiding in the trees and the branches and he would not give me a clear shot. I got quit close though and found an opening to capture this little beauty.

    The width of red on the crown indicates adult male, but the seeming pattern of black bases and red tips would indicate a younger bird according to Pyle. Anyone have any insight?
