    I saw a white stoat at Hanchurch Woods too, yesterday at GR SJ832402. I've been told it was a third for Staffs but it looks like a fourth after your sighting!

    I have no records for Lichfield Andy so please keep an eye out during 2015 and let me know - it helps to contact the owners of buildings where they nest so that accidental disturbance can be avoided which I'm happy to do (as per the Hanley birds) if I know about them. Cheers, Nick

    We did also consider removing Glossy Ibis - two years since being removed as a BBRC rarity! - but in the end decided not to. It will probably move off in the next year or two.

    Migration Saw this on bird guides today: "Notable 11:16 30/08/14 Tree Sparrow E Yorks Spurn YWT details 651 flew south by late morning" We had two over Spurn'o'Staffs (Berry Hill) this morning!! :-O Also a good passage of swallows (300+), Tree Pips 10, Meadow Pips 30+
