review: Swarovski Habicht 8x30 from 1961 - incredible

John…this represents a close serial number to those you made reference to in this thread and your table..early 60’s. It’s a nice example and usable. Chase

The Eagle (well the Hawk) has landed

My two 10x Binoculars, recently bought the Habicht and I have to agree they are better than I imagined they would be. Bright and light and complement the Leica perfectly. Cheers Chas

Watching the trees with these today!

That’s a good point and observing any grey bird in the foliage is quite an interesting test and also through the glass of the conservatory/garden room as well, if inside ….

Product Review: The Sky Rover Banner Cloud 8 x 42 Binocular

I haven’t read all these threads … as I am scared. Can anyone tell me what the warranty terms are, and are they transferable? Are they 1 year or longer. Also, it looks like they would need to send to China or is there regional service centres? Just wanted some advice before looking at them...

Now I am a Leica guy..

I think that’s a good choice… I had an EDG for a while, an 8x32 and really liked it but there’s something special about Leica and the colours I can’t put my fingers on it. Enjoy your Leica !

Zeiss Victory FL 7x42 - will I regret it if I sell them?

Yeah… the 8x42 are still pretty big due to the design but big enough dia for me.

Zeiss Victory FL 7x42 - will I regret it if I sell them?

Harry.. I got an FL 8x32 which was great and compact …but sold it … then I got the FL8x42 which is brighter but a bit on the large size. I sold the FL 8x32 when I saw a Swarovski EL 8x32 for a good price and got the Swarovski with an extra £50 thrown in..it’s early 2000’s and a I have a...

Zeiss Victory FL 7x42 - will I regret it if I sell them?

I think it’s definitely a buyers market at the moment for optics and guitars. Prices have fallen for almost everything and unless you really need the cash, it’s probably not the best time. Unlike guitars, some recently discontinued binoculars are likely to reach a point where they are not...

Silverline 10x42: Worth getting, or waste of money?

I just bought some used Ultravid 10x42BL’s in excellent condition and I find them easy to hold and compact for 10x42 binoculars. They look great too and were really excellent value..

    I never met a 7x I liked until I met the Zeiss FL 7x42.

How do you find it at dusk ? i haven’t tried the 42 but have found the 32 performs very well.

    I never met a 7x I liked until I met the Zeiss FL 7x42.

I agree, in fact all those mentioned were under the price of a new equivalent Zeiss conquest or Swarovski CL

    I never met a 7x I liked until I met the Zeiss FL 7x42.

I have had the 8x32’s and now have 20 year old 8x42’s which look new… I found the compact FL 8x32 really lovely to hold and was 15 years old and I sold it and bought a fairly early EL 8 x 32 WB which may have been improved on since but is still excellent. I just got the FL 8 x 42 as well and...
