How to solve the twisted straps issue with Field Pro lugs once for all
When I got my wife her 8x32FP I knew I would hate the neck strap system then about a year later I got a set of the same and they had the neck strap attached. It has turned out I actually like it. -

Is the Duovid still relevent?
I had a 8-12x42 set for a number of years as my deck binocs. I wish that I hadn't sold them. They were very good glass. I bought a set of Swaro 8.5x42 EL's for the deck which are great. But the Leicas were fine. -

Edge sharpness is decent. Can't tell you about color as I am colorblind. Thry are very easy to look thru. I bought and compared them to Zeiss Victory and Leica HD+ for many hours off the deck. I liked the SLC's better and I had less than 100.00 difference between the 3. -

So I have an issue which shouldn't have. We have wonderful views of the badlands and the Yellowstone river off our deck. Both my wife and I use our binoculars on a daily basis. Everyone is different but I don't have any issue with the eyecups and I don'twear eyeglasses. But again everyone is different. It's smokey again today but I'll do some more comparison as I'm going to be in Billings thru Wednesday as My wife is getting her eyes done. -

I took delivery today a set of Leica Ultravid HD + 7x42s. Over the next month or so I will pit them against my 7x42 SLC NEU. While I'm not a qualified optics expert but I have enjoyed Alpha Binocs from all of the big 3 for almost 20 years. We have a wonderful place to watch many kinds of birds... -

Can the geovids rangefinder binoculars be used for solely visual use?
I'm color blind and I use my Leica Geovids for range finding all the time. I couldn't use the other brands as I couldn't see the led. I had given up when a buddy and I went on a country ride and he had a new Geovid range finders Viola they worked for me also. He said to take them home for the... -

My wonderful spouse decided that she likes the SVs better. The 2010 8x32s were an upgrade for her when we bought this place. She had Leupold Yosemite 6 powers. They are quite good. The grandkids have taken them and a set of 8s over. I think I actually like the old ones better. Both are great. -
