    West Midlands/Warwickshire local patches.

I totally disagree, the Brandon site and also the Warwickshire blog have been running for a few years now. (This thread started in 2004, Brandon Marsh online sightings started in 2002.) The Brandon site has a few regular contributors, the Warwickshire blog (Steve and Kay regularly update) is...

I find sticking my arms out the flaps and pointing to the birds goes down well too, you never know, someone in the hide may have missed what you're pointing at, i've been thanked on more that one occasion ;o)

    Jeff's birding database

You'd need to open the jbddata.mde database, look for the location table and delete the row you no longer need. Sorry, never got round to adding any delete options on the forms.

I.D. needed for this moth? please

Seem to be spreading over the last 10 years from what i've read, only other species that looked similar was cimbex luteus. I'm no expert, only mentioned cimbex sp. as your photo looked similar to one i was sent for my website gallery a few days ago :)

    Coolpix 8400 CF card compatibilty/recommendation

I'm sure all CF cards will work in it, if in doubt buy a well known make or take it to your local camera shop to buy a card, you can then check it works in the shop.

Nice, they are recorded each year on the reserve, but not many records. Maybe they're overlooked as female banded demoiselles? Nice to know still a few about :)

Never done any of the Kenilworth walks, but they tell me the castle walk is nice. http://www.celcat.com/kworth/walkmap.html http://explore.ordnancesurvey.co.uk/os_routes/show/12299 As for yellowhammers, on most walks I've done farmland seems to be the place to see them. Edit: another link added
