Bird Brain is a birding database for Macintosh computers, used to record bird sightings and create life lists. Users can store notes, high-resolution images, QuickTime movies, and any other file in each record. One click will generate a life list from any subset of user's records.
Bird Brain's reference database is based on the Clements Checklist of Birds of the World, including species, subspecies, ranges, taxonomy, and recent splits, lumps, and name changes.
Bird Brain gives one-click access to web pages relating to the species in the current record. Information about that bird pops up from Google, YouTube, Wikipedia, and Cornell All About Birds. Bird Brain is eBird friendly. One click will create the proper file and open the eBird website, ready for submission.
Bird Brain is based on FileMaker, but user does not need to own FileMaker to run it.
