- Yellow band across forehead and lores
- Blackish spot (not always present) in front of white eyering
Distribution
South-east Asia: found only in the Philippines.

There are eight subspecies recognized[1]:
- Z. n. meyleri
- Camiguin Norte
- Z. n. aureiloris
- Mountains of northern Luzon
- Z. n. sierramadrensis
- Cagayan Province on southern Luzon
- Z. n. luzonicus
- Southeastern Luzon and Catanduanes
- Z. n. nigrorum
- Masbate, Negros, Ticao, Panay, and Caluya
- Z. n. mindorensis
- Mindoro
- Z. n. catamarensis
- Camiguin Sur
- Z. n. richmondi
- Cagayancillo Island, Sulu Archipelago
Habitat
Subtropical and tropical moist lowland forests.[2]
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of small insects, fruit and berries.
