Distribution
Northern Queensland, Australia.
Taxonomy
Formerly placed in the genus Lichenostomus.
Subspecies
Two subspecies recognized:
- S. f. flava:
- Northern Queensland (Cape York Peninsula)
- S. f. addenda:
- Coastal central Queensland
Habitat
Open woodlands and riparian forests, particularly in swampy areas.
Behaviour
Diet
The diet includes nectar, fruit and insects.
