Identification

- Dark green upperparts
- Grey tinged head
- Short yellow supercilium, bordered above with a black line
- Grey cheeks
- Yellow throat
- Greenish-yellow undertail
- Yellow tip on tail
- Yellow wing spots
Sexes similar.
Juvenile resembles adult, but greener forehead and less yellow on throat.
Distribution
Sub-Saharan Africa: Cameroon, Central African Republic, Gabon, Republic of Congo, Democratic Republic of Congo, Angola, and Uganda.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Primary and old secondary forests. Also along logging tracks and previously cultivated areas.
Behaviour
Diet
Their main diet consists of arthropods, such as mantids, beetles and caterpillars.
Breeding
The clutch which consists of 2 greyish eggs, spotted with yellow, red and grey, are incubated by female, while male stays nearby and sings. Young fed by both parents.
