- Brown crown
- White tipped brown feathers on forehead and red on forecrown
- Yellow nape.
Distribution
South America: found in the lowlands of south-eastern Brazil (south-eastern Bahia to Rio de Janeiro)
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Lowland and hill areas with secondary forests, and parks.
Behaviour
Diet
There is little information available, but they are thought to eat insects and have been observed feeding on fruits such as avocados.
