  • Green overall plumage
  • Dusky yellow crown
  • Yellowish upper face


Indonesia and Papua New Guinea.



There are 3 subspecies[1]:

  • M. k. keiensis:
  • Kai Islands and Aru Islands
  • M. k. chloroxantha:
  • M. k. viridipectus:


Moist lowland and hill forests, mangrove forests and coconut plantations.



The diet includes lichens, insects, fungi and mosses.
