- Reddish rump
- White wing stripe from wing-coverts to secondaries
- Reddish patch on lower scapulars
Distribution
Asia: found from Nepal to southern Tibet and west-central China; winters to Myanmar.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Temperate forests. They usually breed near streams below the tree-line.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists of insects and berries.
