South America: found in Venezuela, Brazil and Guyana. .
Taxonomy
This species has been moved from genus Automolus to genus Syndactyla.[1][2][3]
Subpecies
Four subspecies are recognized[1]:
- S. r. paraquensis:
- Tepuis of southern Venezuela (Cerro Sipapo [Cerro Paraque], north-western Amazonas)"
- S. r. duidae:
- Tepuis of southern Venezuela (Cerros Parú, Yavi, Gimé, Duida, and de la Neblina, Amazonas)
- S. r. urutani:
- Tepuis of southern Venezuela (Cirres Jaua and Urutaní, southern Bolívar)
- S. r. roraimae:
Habitat
Moist montanes.
