Extinct. 26 cm. Beige head, throat, and breast mantle, chestnut upperparts with a pale purple sheen on the carpals and the small wing coverts contrasted with a chocolate-coloured belly.

Taxonomy
Formerly placed in genus Gallicolumba by Clements.
Habitat
Dry beach forests.
Behaviour
Terrestrial.
