Identification

Distribution

Montane forests of Sumatra.

Taxonomy

Bornean Frogmouth and Sumatran Frogmouth were lumped as one species, "Short-tailed Frogmouth", Batrachostomus poliolophus (wider sense). Confusingly, reference [2] retains the name "Short-tailed Frogmouth" for the restricted taxon presented here.

Subspecies

This is a monotypic species [1].

Habitat

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
