Location: Gunang Kerinci, Sumatra, Indonesia

Alternative Name: Short-tailed Frogmouth

Batrachostomus poliolophus

Montane forests of Sumatra.

Bornean Frogmouth and Sumatran Frogmouth were lumped as one species, "Short-tailed Frogmouth", Batrachostomus poliolophus (wider sense). Confusingly, reference [2] retains the name "Short-tailed Frogmouth" for the restricted taxon presented here.

This is a monotypic species [1].

Moist lowland forests and montanes.
