Diet
The diet consists mostly of insects, seeds, nectar or fruit.
Breeding
Both sexes construct the oval, domed nest, which has a hooded entrance near the top, from bark mixed with lichen, mosses and spider webs and egg sacs. It is usually lined with feathers, fur or soft plant down, placed in the outer branches of trees, shrubs and vine-covered saplings (mainly eucalypts). The female incubates the eggs and both parents feed the young, along with other members of the breeding group.
Nests may be parasitised by Shining Bronze Cuckoos, as well as Fan-tailed Cuckoos.
