Ixos malaccensis



  • Olive above
  • Greyish throat and breast with whitish streaks
  • Whitish belly and vent

Juvenile: warm brown above and plainer breast


Southeast Asia: found in Indochina, Myanmar, Vietnam, southern Thailand, Malaysia, Malay Peninsula, Brunei, Singapore, Borneo, Indonesia, Greater Sundas and Sumatra


This is a monotypic species[1].


Broad leaved evergreen forests and forest edges.



Their diet consists of fruit, particularly figs, and insects.
