Identification
Supposed to have relatively warm tones to cap and breastband, and more complete breastband than Kentish Plover
Distribution
Coastal lowlands of Indonesia: Java, Bali and Kangean Islands. Recently found also in south Sumatra, and east to Flores, Sumba, Sulawesi and Timor.
Taxonomy
A monotypic species. A while back, this species was included in Kentish Plover.
Habitat
Sandy shores and intertidal flats
