Taxonomy
Subspecies littoralis was formerly considered a full species, Restinga Antwren.
Subspecies
Clements recognizes these subspecies[1]:
- F. s. serrana:
- Mountains of south-eastern Brazil (eastern Minas Gerais and adjacent Esp¡rito Santo)
- F. s. interposita:
- South-eastern Brazil (north-western Rio de Janeiro and adjacent south-eastern Minas Gerais)
- F. s. littoralis:
- Coastal South-eastern Brazil (Rio de Janeiro) and adjacent offshore islands
Habitat
Moist lowland forests.
