Distribution
From Turkestan to Tajikistan to western China and Nepal.
Taxonomy
This is a monotypic species[1].
Habitat
Oak-rhododendron forests. Also montane and sub-montane conifer and spruce forests.
Behaviour
Diet
Their diet consists mostly of small invertebrates, seeds and berries. During the breeding season, they feed the young on insects and larvae.
