Distribution
Africa between 10°N and 8°S: Discontinuous and localised, from western Nigeria to eastern Democratic Republic of Congo and north-eastern Angola2.

Moist lowland forests, forest edges and clearings.
Behaviour
Forages in the mid-canopy, often in mixed-species flocks. Often heard before seen.
Vocalization
An often-repeated tueet whistle.
