Identification

29-38 cm. Their plumage is a dull grey or brown, and they have a very long tail, and erectile crest.

Distribution

Angola and Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Behaviour

They creep through vegetation and perch with their body vertically suspended between widely splayed feet, held apart at the level of the upper breast. They occur in flocks and their behaviour is social and communal.
