Overview
Rands Fjord, formerly part of the sea, is now a freshwater lake in south-east Jutland (Jylland) with a narrow channel connecting it to the sea. The lake with its reedbeds and marshes, lies in the valley of the Spang River and there are wooded and scrub-covered hillsides adding to the range of habitats.

Notable Species
Breeding birds include Bearded Tit in the reedbeds and Nightingale and Raven in the more wooded parts and Kingfisher and Grey Wagtail along the river.

Access and Facilities
The park can be reached from Vejlby and is situated 8km north-west of Fredericia. Most of the park is of open access but part of the original fjord is closed to the public.
